The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections everyday for those who like to stream starting pitchers in their fantasy leagues. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.
Before I get to Saturday's streamers, here is how my selections for Thursday's games fared:
Kyle Kendrick vs Marlins - 7 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, W
Justin Grimm vs White Sox - 6.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 9 K, L
Travis Wood vs Padres - 7.2 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, BB, 3 K, L
Combined stats: 21.1 IP, 17 H, 8 ER, 7 BB, 17 K, W, 2 L, 3.41 ERA, 1.137 WHIP
Here are my streamer selections for Saturday's games:
Matt Magill vs Giants
This choice assumes Ted Lilly will not make his scheduled start on Saturday, and all indications are that he won't. If that proves correct, Magill will get the nod here against the Giants. Magill struck out 7 batters in 6.2 innings in his first major league last week, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks vs a pretty good Milwaukee lineup.
Phil Hughes vs A's
Hughes is owned in just 17.6% of ESPN leagues, but that number should be higher as he has pitched well lately. Hughes owns a 27-12 career record at Yankee Stadium with a 4.44 ERA and 1.303 WHIP.
Julio Teheran vs Mets
Teheran is owned in 10.2% of ESPN leagues, and gets a good matchup vs the Mets on Saturday night. Teheran has pitched better in his last two starts, after getting knocked around in his first three starts of the season. He faces a Mets team that has struggled to score runs of late, scoring two runs or less in six of their last nine games.
Reminder: feel free to ask questions here or in the Roto Roundup, whether they relate to streamer decisions, trade offers, keeper questions, etc.
