The Streamer Report: Memorial Day Streamer Picks

Ray Guilfoyle offers his streamer picks for Memorial Day.

Tom Szczerbowski

The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections for the fantasy owner who likes to stream starting pitchers in leagues with no innings cap. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either have a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a good matchup.

Before I get into my Memorial Day weekend streaming pitcher selections, here is how my selections for Saturday's games performed:

John Gast vs Dodgers - 1 IP, 1 H, ER, 2 BB, O K (left with injury)

Jeff Locke vs Brewers - 6 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 7 K, W

Ricky Nolasco vs White Sox - 7.2 IP, 8 H, ER, 0 BB, 6 K

Combined stats: 14.2 IP, 12 H, 2 ER, 6 BB, 13 K, 1.23 ERA, 1.23 WHIP

Here are my streamer picks for Memorial Day:

Jake Odorizzi vs Marlins

Odorizzi faces off against fellow pitching prospect Jose Fernandez on Memorial Day. He pitched well in his first start vs the Blue Jays, giving up three runs on five hits, one walk and striking out six. He faces the Marlins lineup that ranks last in runs scored this season.

Dan Straily vs Giants

Straily is owned in just 1.1% of ESPN leagues and faces the Giants at home on Monday. Straily has had an up and down season thus far, but threw seven shutout innings vs the Rangers in his last outing, giving up just two hits and walking none.,

Jon Niese vs Yankees

Niese is owned in 41.2% of ESPN leagues and pitches at home vs the Yankees on Monday. Niese struggled in two starts earlier this month, but has pitched well in his last two starts, giving up just two runs over his last 13.2 innings. In three career starts vs the Yankees, Niese is 1-1 with a 2.33 ERA and 1.448 WHIP.
