The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections for the fantasy owner who likes to stream starting pitchers in leagues with no innings cap. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either have a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a good matchup.
Before I get into Monday's streaming pitcher selections, here is how my selections for Saturday's games performed:
Bronson Arroyo vs Phillies - 7.2 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, W
Brandon McCarthy vs Marlins - 9 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, W
Combined stats: 16.2 IP, 8 H, 0 ER, 4 BB, 11 K, 2 W, 0.00 ERA, 0.74 WHIP....where has that been all season?
Let's see if I can repeat Saturday's successes on Monday. Here are Monday's streamer selections:
Julio Teheran vs Twins
Teheran is owned in just 9% of ESPN leagues, but is home to face the Twins on Monday night. Teheran has pitched well in his last four starts, giving up 3 runs or less in each. After walking seven batters in his first four starts, he has walked just one in his last four starts, a good sign.
Jason Marquis vs Cardinals
Marquis is owned in just 5.5% of ESPN leagues, and is home to face the Cardinals on Monday night. Marquis has been surprisingly effective this season, giving up two runs or less in six of his eight starts this season.
