The Streamer Report: Friday's Starting Pitcher Targets

Ray Guilfoyle offers his streamer starting pitcher selections for Friday's MLB games.

USA TODAY Sports

The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections everyday for those who like to stream starting pitchers in their fantasy leagues. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.

Before I get to Friay's streamers, here is how my selections for Wednesday's games fared:

Ross Detwiler vs Dodgers - 3 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, O K, L

Phil Hughes vs Mariners - 0.2 IP, 6 H, 7 ER, 2 BB, 0 K, L

Mike Leake vs Marlins - 6.2 IP, 9 H, 0 ER, BB, 6 K, W

Combined stats: 10.1, 21 H, 9 ER, 5 BB, 6 K, 1 W, 2 L, 8.02 ERA, 2.574 WHIP.....oh my......

Here are my streamer selections for Friday's games:

Jeanmar Gomez vs Astros

Gomez is barely owned in ESPN leagues (0/9%) and gets to face an Astros team that swings and misses quite a bit on Friday night. Gomez has given up just one run in his last two starts vs the Mets and Mariners, going five innings in each contest.

Jarrod Parker vs Royals

Parker is owned in 22.2% of ESPN leagues, and I have to think he was owned in at least 75-80% of leagues at the beginning of the season. I imagine his ownership percentage will begin to rise soon. He has won two of his last three starts, but is still giving up way too many base runners.

Kevin Slowey vs Diamondbacks

Slowey will look to bounce back from his worst start of the season on Friday night vs the Diamondbacks, who rank 18th in runs scored in May. Slowey has given up 2 runs or less in 6 of his 8 starts this season, and will look to build on that trend in Miami on Friday night.
