The Streamer Report: Wednesday's Starting Pitcher Targets

Ray Guilfoyle offers his streamer starting pitcher selections for Wednesday's MLB games.

Patrick Smith

The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections everyday for those who like to stream starting pitchers in their fantasy leagues. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.

Before I get to Wednesday's streamers, here is how my selections for Monday's games fared:

Travis Wood vs Rockies - 7 IP, 2 H, O ER, 3 BB, 2K, W

Joe Blanton vs Royals - 4.2 IP, 12 H, 7 ER, 0 BB, 7 K, L

Marco Estrada vs Pirates - 7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, W

Combined stats: 18.2 IP, 17 H, 8 ER, 4 BB, 14 K, 2 W, L, 3.96 ERA, 1.154 WHIP

Here are my streamer selections for Wednesday's games:

Ross Detwiler vs Dodgers

Detwiler has given up 3 runs or less in all 7 starts this season, and faces a Dodgers team that is 28th in runs scored. In 4 career appearances vs the Dodgers, he is 1-1 with a 3.10 ERA and 1.082 WHIP in 20.2 innings.

Phil Hughes vs Mariners

Hughes is owned in 47.7% of ESPN leagues, and will face the Mariners lineup that is 27th in runs scored this season. Hughes has put up quality starts in five of his seven starts this season. He owns a 4-2 record with a 2.83 ERA and 1.258 WHIP in 9 career appearances vs the Mariners.

Mike Leake vs Marlins

Leake is owned in just 1.1% of ESPN leagues and faces the Marlins team that is last in runs scored on Wednesday night. Leake is fighting to keep a rotation spot with Johnny Cueto due back from the DL soon, so he will need to be at his best on Wednesday night.
