The Streamer Report: Tuesday's Starting Pitcher Targets

Ray Guilfoyle offers his streaming starting pitcher selections for Monday's games.

Jared Wickerham

The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections everyday for those who like to stream starting pitchers in their fantasy leagues. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.

Before I get to Tuesday's streamers, here is how my selections for Sunday's games fared:

Zach McAllister vs Tigers - 6 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K

Roberto Hernandez vs Padres - 6 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, W

Scott Diamond vs Orioles - 5.2 IP, 9 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 0 K, L

Combined stats: 17.2 IP, 22 H, 10 ER, 8 BB, 9 K, W, L, 5.23 ERA, 1.744 WHIP

Here are my streamer selections for Tuesday's game, and hopefully they fare better than Sunday's choices:

Chris Tillman vs Padres

I am not sure why ESPN does not show the ownership percentage for some players, but they do not for Tillman. Anyway, he will face the Padres on Tuesday night, and has been solid up to this point in the 2013 season, going 3-1 with a 3.76 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 7 starts. He has given up 3 runs or less in five of his seven starts so far.

Scott Kazmir vs Phillies

Kazmir has been a real surprise in the early going, as he is 2-1 with a 4.87 ERA and 1.43 WHIP, but he has pitched better since his first start of the season, where he gave up 6 runs in 3.1 innings. How much better? Over his last three starts, covering 17 innings, he has given up 5 earned runs on 15 hits, 3 walks and 21 strikeouts.

John Lackey vs Rays

Lackey faces off against Rays starter Matt Moore, and owns a 12-6 career record vs the Rays with a 4.09 ERA and 1.346 WHIP in 19 career starts. He has pitched well in his return from a biceps injury, and I think it continues on Tuesday.
