The Streamer Report provides you with daily starting pitcher streaming options for Friday's games. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.
Before I get to Friday's streamer options, here is how Wednesday's selections performed:
Lucas Harrell vs Mariners - 7 IP, 6 hits, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, W
Wandy Rodriguez vs Phillies - 5.2 IP, 9 hits, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
Combined totals: 12.2 IP, 15 hits, 4 ER, 4 B, 10 K, W
Here are Friday's streamer options:
Dillon Gee vs Phillies
Gee pitched great in his last outing, and I am rolling with him again vs a Phillies lineup that struggles to score runs, ranking 22nd in baseball. In the two starts where he has lasted 5 innings or more this season, he has given up one earned run or less in both starts. In 30 appearances at Citi Field, Gee is 11-10 with a 3.27 ERA and 1.226 WHIP in his career.
Kyle Kendrick vs Mets
Yeah, I am also recommending the starter Gee is facing, but Kendrick has pitched well this season, giving up 2 runs or less in his last three starts. In 5 career appearances at Citi Field, Kendick is 2-1 with a 2.74 ERA and 1.304 WHIP.
Andrew Cashner vs Giants
Cashner was recently added to the Padres rotation, and he can fill up the linescore with strikeouts for fantasy owners. His experience as a starter is limited due to injury and time spent in the bullpen, but Cashner is pitching at home, and pitched well in his first start of the season last week, giving up 2 runs on 2 hits in 4 innings, while walking 1 and striking out 5.
Wei-Yin Chen vs A's
Chen is owned in just 8% of ESPN leagues despite pitching very well this month. He has given up 3 runs or less in each of his four starts, and is coming off a solid effort last weekend vs the Dodgers, where he gave up just 1 run on 3 hits in 6 innings of work.
