The Streamer Report: Thursday's streaming starting pitcher targets

Ray Guilfoyle provides his thoughts on some streaming starting pitcher options for Thursday's games.

Thearon W. Henderson

The Streamer Report provides you with daily starting pitcher streaming options for Thursday's games. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.

Before I get to Thursday's streamer options, here is how Tuesday's selections performed:

Patrick Corbin vs Giants - 7.1 IP, 6 hits, 2 ER, 0 BB, 7 K, W

Jose Quintana vs Indians -game postponed due to rain

Carlos Villanueva vs Reds - 8.1 IP, 3 hits, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, ND

Bud Norris vs Mariners - 5 IP, 8 hits, ER, 2 BB, 2 K, W

Combined stats: 20.2 IP, 17 hits, 5 ER, 4 BB, 15 K, 2 W

Here are my streamer selections for Thursday:

Bronson Arroyo vs Nationals

In 11 career starts vs the Nationals, Arroyo is 3-3 with a 3.92 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. He has gone at least 6 innings in each of his four starts this season, giving up 3 runs or less in 3 of the 4 starts.

Edwin Jackson vs Marlins

Jackson has not fared well in his 8 career appearances vs the Marlins, but I will overlook that since the Marlins are struggling to score runs this season.

Jarrod Parker vs Orioles

Parker has struggled in 3 of his 4 starts this season, but he was his old self in his last start, limiting the Ray to one run on six hits in 6.1 innings. He gets the Orioles at home on Thursday, where he owns a 6-7 with a 3.41 ERA and 1.265 WHIP in 17 career starts at home.
