The Streamer Report: Wednesday's streaming starting pitcher targets

Ray Guilfoyle provides his thoughts on some streaming starting pitcher options for Wednesday's games.

Bob Levey

The Streamer Report provides you with daily starting pitcher streaming options for Tuesday's games. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.

Before I get to Wednesday's streamer options, here is how Monday's selections performed:

Mike Leake vs Cubs - 7 IP, 8 hits, 2 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, ND

Kevin Correia vs Marlins - postponed due to snow.

Joe Blanton vs Rangers - 6 IP, 12 hits, 4 ER, BB, 0 K, ND

Combined totals: 13 IP, 20 hits, 6 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 2 ND

Here are my streamer selections for Wednesday. The picking are thin, as there are number of excellent starters going on Wednesday, and thus are owned in more than 50% of ESPN leagues.

Lucas Harrell vs Mariners

Harrell has given up 2 earned runs or less in three of his four starts this season, and owns a 7-6 career record pitching at Minute Maid Park, with a 2.93 ERA and a 1.443 WHIP. Harrell pitches to contact, so he is prone to high base runner totals, but against a Marlins lineup that struggles to score runs, he should be able to limit the damage.

Wandy Rodriguez vs Phillies

I am cheating a little here, as Wandy is owned in just over 50% of ESPN leagues, but am riding the hot streak vs the Phillies. Wandy has not fared well in his career vs the Phillies, but has yet to give up a run in two of his three starts this season.
