The Streamer Report: Tuesday's Starting Pitcher Targets

Ray Guilfoyle provides his thoughts on some streaming starting pitching options for Tuesday's games.

Jeff Gross

The Streamer Report provides you with some streaming starting pitching options for Tuesday's MLB games. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues.

Tuesday's selections:

1. A.J. Griffin vs Astros

Can you believe the Astros have scored more runs than the Blue Jays, Nationals and Brewers so far this season? I will still side with Griffin pitching at home in the spacious O.co Coliseum, where he is 4-0 in 9 career starts there, with a 3.19 ERA and 1.083 WHIP.

2. Chris Capuano vs Padres

In 20 career starts at Dodger Stadium, Capuano is 7-7 with a 3.40 ERA and a 1.193 WHIP. In 14 career appearances vs the Padres, he is 5-4 with a 3.34 ERA and a 1.271 WHIP. He may be on a pitch limit in Tuesday's start, but he should fare well.

3. Travis Wood vs Rangers

Wood has started the season going 1-0 with a 1.46 ERA and 1.054 WHIP in 12.1 innings. Can he continue his hot pitching vs the Rangers? I think the Rangers lineup misses Josh Hamilton as that lineup is not as scary as it was with him in it.

4. Jason Vargas vs Twins

I am going back to the well with Vargas vs the Twins lineup that is 24th in the big leagues in runs scored.
