The Streamer Reports provides you with some streaming starting pitching options for Monday's MLB games. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues. There are only 8 games being played on Monday, so here are my selections.
I am going to start posting the Streamer Report at 7pm every night, so let me know if this gives you enough time to make a waiver wire move for tomorrow's games.
Before getting to Monday's action, I want to review how my streaming picks worked out on Saturday (there was not a report for Sunday-my apologies):
Jhoulys Chacin vs Padres: 5 IP, 4 hits, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
Jason Hammel vs Yankees: 6 IP, 8 hits, 3 runs, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
Jose Fernandez vs Phillies: 6 IP, 2 hits, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K
Lucas Harrell vs Angels: 5.2 IP, 6 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K
All told: 22.2 IP, 20 hits, 5 ER, 6 BB, 17 K.
Monday's streaming selections:
1. Chad Billingsley vs Padres
in 23 career starts vs the Padres, Billz is 13-8 with a 2.58 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. There will be plenty of storyline heading into this game after the Zack Greinke injury last week.
2. Joe Blanton at Minnesota
The Twins rank 13th, among 15, in runs score in the American League and are hitting just .219 as a team with just 7 home runs thus far.
3. Erik Bedard at Oakland
Bedard is 4-3 with a 2.73 ERA and 1.125 WHIP in 11 career starts vs the A's. He is even better pitching in Oakland, where he is 3-0 in 4 career starts, with a 1.61 ERA and 0.893 WHIP.
