After hours of tweaking that resulted in more cutting and pasting than you'd find in a kindergarten classroom full of safety scissors, Elmer's Glue and construction paper, I've finally come up with my list of the top-100 hitters for 2013 Head-to-Head Points leagues.
I've adhered to the positional rankings posted over the past two weeks, so you won't find any overlapping of multi-position eligible players -- Allen Craig, for example, was my No. 9 first baseman and my No. 26 outfielder, so you still won't find him ranked any higher than the first 25 outfielders, even though I like him as a top-10 first basemen.
How the numbers break down by position (with links to their rankings):
Catcher: 11
First Base: 17
Second Base: 11
Shortstop: 11
Third Base: 15
Outfield: 44
It's obvious where I think the most talent is, but I don't think the numbers are too surprising. I was hoping 12 players from each position would fall somewhere in the top 100, so I was pretty close to hitting the mark. Keep in mind the rankings you see below will differ from ranks already out there, which are likely for standard Rotisserie formats. The only other published H2H Points league rankings I'm aware of are from ESPN's A.J. Mass, but that list was last updated in October. CBS Sports also has H2H rankings, but I don't think they are for points leagues specifically.
A mini-announcement: I'm kicking around the idea of starting up a H2H Points league with Fake Teams' readers if there's enough interest. Let me know below, hit me up on Twitter or shoot me an email.
As a reminder, scoring for hitters in points leagues is one point for every base, run, RBI, walk and stolen base, and minus-one point for every strikeout.
Here are my top-100 hitters for H2H Points leagues:
