The good people at Yahoo! Sports and SB Nation have teamed up to bring you the #1 Free Fantasy Baseball Game on the the web to all of your favorite SB Nation sites, including here at Fake Teams.
Ray gave me the go-ahead, and I'm excited to announce that I'll be running the Official Fake Teams Head to Head Points League for the 2013 season.
Jason has already provided a rundown of the new features available at Yahoo!, which includes two new stat options, predetermined draft order, continuous waiver mode and enhanced keeper settings. In addition to all of those goodies, you get the following:
Yahoo! Sports is the #1 FREE Fantasy Baseball game on the web. Offering:
- Superior research and expert advice
- New Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball iPad app for 2013 season
- Pro Leagues - step it up a notch and play in public cash prize leagues
- Same day drafts
- Custom playoff seeding
The league will consist of 16 teams, including Fake Teams' writer Brian Creagh (who won the league last year), myself, and you, the readers. The league is a H2H Points format, using the scoring settings I outlined in my H2H Points League Rankings series from earlier this month. Sign-up is free, and the draft will take place on Wednesday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. EST. If you already know that you cannot make the draft, please allow someone else who can to sign up instead.
To join, all you need to do is send me an email at alex [dot] kantecki [at] gmail [dot] com with your interest. I'll send out league invites by the end of the day. It's first come, first served, so HURRY UP, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? SEND ME AN EMAIL ALREADY!
I encourage everyone who does not get in to start up a league of their own and post in the comments below. I've also seen Fan Posts of both new and established leagues looking for a few good owners, so that's worth checking out, too. I'm looking forward to a great season!
