We completed the 25 round draft in the #earlymock14 fantasy baseball draft, but today I offer my thoughts on round six. You can find my thoughts on the earlier rounds here:
Tommy L from Fantasy Assembly wrote his thoughts for rounds 1-5 and 6-15 in the links below:

I took my first starting pitcher here in the sixth round, as I wanted to draft one of my top 12 of 13 starters as late as possible, and with David Price and Justin Verlander coming off the board before my pick, I felt I couldn't wait for the draft to come back to me in the seventh round to take my first pitcher, so I grabbed Dodgers ace Zack Greinke. He had a phenomenal second half of the season, where he went 7-2 with a 1.85 ERA and a 80-19 strikeout to walk rate in 92.2 innings.
With guys like Domonic Brown and Yoenis Cespedes still on the board, I think the Carlos Beltran pick might have been a round too early. But, if he signs with a team like Boston or the Yankees this offseason, Kevin will be very happy that he grabbed Beltran here. The guy can still hit, and he is more of a DH now than ever before.
I am not one to draft a guy like Elvis Andrus tor Everth Cabrera this early, as they are really two category hitters - stolen bases and runs. There were better values to be had and I think you could get both of these guys a round or two later. I grabbed a 40 stolen base hitter, Eric Young Jr., in the 23rd round. There was other speed guys drafted late as well.
I liked Brian's pick of Aaron Hill here. He missed a lot of time last season and still put up respectable numbers that indicate to me that he is still one of the top hitting second baseman in the game. Hitting in Chase Field certainly helps his cause.
Nabae had to be happy that Cole Hamels fell to him with the last pick in the sixth round here. Hamels is one of the top 10-12 starters in the game, so he got great value here. He won just 8 games this season, and his ERA jumped to 3.60, but I think he bounces back in 2014. I hope owners in my leagues are down on him as I think the Phillies will be a more competitive team next season, and Hamels will return to his old form.
