The reports that Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson will have his knee scoped for the second time today was the big news from Wednesday. Most reports have him returning for the season opener, and therefore missing all preseason games, so his draft stock will certainly take a hit in most fantasy drafts over the next few weeks.
According to Mock Draft Central, his ADP is 10.92, and has him being drafted anywhere from 6th overall to 19th overall. I imagine that will change over the next week. In looking at their latest ADP report, somehow Cam Newton was drafted at 123rd overall in one mock draft. i have no idea how that could have happened after the season he had in 2011.
Titans WR Kenny Britt met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell yesterday and came out of the meeting unsure about whether he will be suspended or not:
"What is my gut telling me? I really don’t know. He didn’t really give me any body language on what is going to happen. He just wasn’t really pleased about seeing me in there. No person would like to see a player in their office twice in one year." - Nashville Tennessean
I imagine Britt will get a 2-4 game suspension as a result of his DUI earlier this year. Nate Washington should benefit from any games Britt should miss to start the 2012 season. Washington's ADP sits at 105.60 currently.
Redskins OC Kyle Shanahan thinks Evan Royster can be a top RB in the NFL. Here are some of his comments on Royster from the Washington Examiner:
I think Evan eventually got thrown into a role and I think he saw in those games I can be pretty good in the NFL. I don’t know if he always totally knew that. With Evan, it’s about him realizing he can be as good as he wants. He can be a top back in this league. ..... just really get the mentality that he wants to be that guy, to be our lead carrier and not just one of the guys. If you have that mentally and you have that desire you capable of being that good."
We should know more about Royster's role in the Redskins offense as the preseason games start tonight. We will stay on top of this RB battle in Washington heading into drafts later this month.
More camp news after the jump:
The Titans have two QBs in camp battling for the starting job-Jake Locker and Matt Hasselbeck, and things are up in the air as to who will be their starter as of today, but we should know who will start their first preseason game later today, courtesy of Terry McCormick from TitansInsider.com
Munchak says he will talk with staff tonight. And decide then which QB will start vs Seattle

I have a feeling Locker could win the starting job out once the season begins. If so, we could see the Titans throwing the ball downfield a bit more than if Hasselbeck wins the job.
The Nashville Tennessean has more on the Locker-Hasselbeck battle:
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck went 6-for-11 with two interceptions during team drills on Wednesday, while Jake Locker went 8-for-12 with no interceptions. Overall in training camp, Hasselbeck has thrown eight interceptions in team drills, Locker two.
To me, it looks like Locker has a leg up in the QB battle. We should know more later today.
With the news about Richardson having knee surgery, we learn today that Montario Hardesty will start the Brown's first preseason game, courtesy of Scott Petrack from the Elyrian Chronicle-Telegram:

#Browns Shurmur said Hardesty will start in place of Richardson in Friday in Detroit.
Richardson should be drafted before Hardesty in all drafts, but it would be wise to draft Hardesty as his handcuff.
