Hanley Ramirez Injured, Day-to-Day

Hanley Ramirez was taken out of tonight's game with a sprained left shoulder. He injured the shoulder diving for a ground ball, and he was not able to move his left arm or shoulder when he left the game. Sounds like he may have separated the shoulder, but we will know more tomorrow. Hanley has been a bust this season, as he is hitting just .243-.333-.379 with 10 HRs, 45 RBIs and 20 SBs in 30 attempts.

This is by far his worst season of his career and I wonder if the Marlins may actually try to trade him this offseason. Recent comments by Jeff Conine, when asked on a local radio show if he would trade Hanley responded with "if it were up to me, probably".

Conine's reasons for wanting to deal Hanley is nothing new. Conine says Hanley doesn't try as hard as he should, and he sees this on a nightly basis.

Third baseman Greg Dobbs replaced Hanley with Emilio Bonafacio moving over to shortstop.
