Brandon Belt - Giants 1B/LF DOB: 04/20/88
Belt made his return from injury this week and in 4 games with Fresno he is 3-14 with a home run after going 3-6 in 2 High-A games. The Giants outfield has been weak this year and Belt may be brought in as an attempt to spark the offense. His first trial in the majors didn't go very well so he will need to show he is recovered from the injury in AAA before he gets a chance in the bigs.
Collin Cowgill - Diamondbacks CF DOB: 05/22/86
Cowgill is mashing in the PCL but his path to Arizona is blocked. Justin Upton and Chris Young have firm grips on their jobs and Gerardo Parra is playing well enough to keep his. Cowgill is hitting .361 through 83 games and already has 39 extra base hits. He is also a stellar 26/3 on the bases. Should anyone in the Diamondbacks outfield hit the DL it will be Cowgill who gets the call.
Alex Liddi - Mariners 3B/SS DOB: 08/14/88
Kyle Seager's promotion to AAA slid Liddi over to shortstop and he has remained there after Seager was promoted to Seattle. If Liddi is now a shortstop he will have major fantasy appeal since he has well above average power for the position. Even at third he remains a worthy player but his penchant for strikeouts could keep him from ever batting above .270 in the majors.
Bryan Petersen - Marlins CF DOB: 04/09/86
The Marlins summoned Petersen to play center field and there is a good chance he can stick in Florida. He has strong contact skills and is capable of posting a .280+ AVG the rest of the way in 2011. He has some pop but will probably be limited to 15-20 home runs a season in his prime.
Trayvon Robinson - Dodgers CF DOB: 09/01/87
Tony Gwynn is not the answer in left field for the Dodgers and Robinson is a perfect candidate to take over. He is hitting .303/.378/.570 in AAA but has only 8 stolen bases after swiping 38 last year. Davey Lopes' guidance could translate into more steals for Robinson and he has 20-20 potential as early as next season. Jerry Sands could also be given left field though he may be a better fit at first base.
Kyle Blanks - Padres 1B 09/11/86
Anthony Rizzo is struggling in the majors and may need to work on things in the minors. Luckily for the Padres Blanks is on fire at AAA and could step into Rizzo's role. If Blanks hits when called up he could be moved to the outfield so there is room for he and Rizzo. In 26 AAA games Blanks is hitting .408/.474/.883.
Maikel Cleto – Cardinals SP DOB: 05/01/89
Cleto has made the climb from High-A to AAA and has a combined 3.35 ERA in 80.2 innings. Cleto has posted poor stats so far in his pro career but could be finally making his electric stuff work for him rather than against him. The Cardinals have used him briefly in the bullpen this season and that could be where he ends up. If he is able to stick as a starter he will hold tons of fantasy intrigue due to his high upside in the strikeout category.
