Anthony Rizzo Up On Thursday, Brett Lawrie has Fractured Hand

It was just reported within the last hour that Padres first base prospect Anthony Rizzo will be called up tomorrow. We have written about him plenty here at Fake Teams, so no need to rehash what he has accomplished in AAA this season.

Rizzo is a must add in NL-only leagues and deeper mixed leagues as he wasn't called up to sit the bench. I wouldn't expect him to come up and hit like Jason Heyward or Buster Posey, but he certainly has plenty of power, so he could help in those categories.

Blue Jays third base prospect Brett Lawrie was diagnosed with a fractured hand and will be out for 2-3 weeks per Shi Davidi at Sportsnet:

Lawrie's fracture found after swelling subsided. It's non-displaced, so he won't need a cast. Minimum 2-3 weeks of rest.

So, for Lawrie, who was very close to getting called up when he was hit by a pitch recently, he will most likely have to wait till around the All Star break before getting called up.,
