By now, most fantasy owners know who Eric Hosmer is. He was the top ranked first base prospect coming into this season, and did nothing but rake in his first shot in AAA this season. Last season in stints at High A Wilmington and AA Northwest Arkansas, he hit a combined .338-.406-.571 with 20 HRs, 86 RBIs and 14 SBs. At AAA Omaha this year, Hosmer hit .439-.525-.582 with 3 HRs, 15 RBIs and 21 runs scored in 98 at bats, prompting his call-up on May 6th.
Last night, Hosmer went 4-7 with 2 runs scored, a home run and 4 runs batted in. So far this season, he is hitting .284-.330-.506 with 4 HRs, 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored in 81 at bats. He is making an impact in the big leagues at the young age of 21.
I think Hosmer can go 15-75-.280 this season, with the possibility that he tops those numbers, as he has exceeded expectations the last two seasons. He is a must own in all leagues right now.
