Fantasy Hockey 2011: Trade Targets

Sell: Miikka Kiprusoff - Calgary Flames

Guess what, the Calgary Flames are not very good. You should have seen this coming, if you didn't well now you now the Flames are on the verge of a full rebuild. The Flames aren't going to be winning a lot of games down the stretch and their defense is stingy at best.

Buy: Semyon Varlamov - Colorado Avalanche

Before he put up a stinker in Vancouver, his SV% in his previous 6 starts averaged out to about .940. That's pretty impressive - collecting wins in 4 of those 6. The Avalanche are going to be starting Semyon a lot, as they should because of the hefty price they gave up for him.

Sell: Dan Hamhuis - Vancouver Canucks

He's never tallied more than 38 points in a season, and that was in 2005/06. He's going to get you anywhere from 25-30 points so this 9 points in 12 game run is nice but it won't last.

Buy: Kevin Bieksa - Vancouver Canucks

It was only in 2008/09 that Bieksa recorded a 43 point season with the Canucks, he's got 12 in 24 this season which puts him on pace for him getting close to that career high mark.

Sell: No forwards this week!

Buy: P.A. Parenteau - NYI

After a slow start, he's starting to heat up with 6 points in 3 games. He broke out in a big way last season with a 53 point output and he's quietly got 21 points in 24 games. See if you can get him for cheap.

Buy: Nick Foligno - Ottawa

Playing in the middle of Daniel Alfredsson & the suprising Milan Michalek has made Nick Foligno relevant in the fantasy world. Although that averaging a whole lot of minutes he's produced 5 points in his last 4 games and is showing signs he will break his career high of 34 points this season.
