This article dispenses info on backup goalies who have been verified as starting today so you can be able to adjust your lineups accordingly and perhaps make a nifty pickup for those in same-day transaction leagues. Here we go...
Ben Scrivens, Maple Leafs vs. Bruins - Scrivens did a great job against the Blue Jackets on Thursday but the Bruins are a slightly better team. James Reimer will be returning here very soon.
Rick DiPietro, Islanders vs. Capitals - He's had a very good record against the Caps and it's his third straight start but I still am leery of any goalie starting against a potentially offensive juggernaut like the Caps. Now that's he's healthy (for now), look for order to be restored and the Islanders in playing DiPietro most of the time with Evgeni Nabokov in tow and Al Montoya on reserve.
Josh Harding, Wild vs. Blues - Harding has been playing very well lately and the Wild are smart at playing the hot hand but I fear he'll be shelved for Niklas Backstrom at some point. Still, he makes for a good same-day transaction pickup.
UPDATE
Devan Dubnyk, Oilers vs. Coyotes - Even though Nikolai Khabibulin has been playing out of his mind lately, he still needs rest occasionally. Here's hoping Dubnyk proves himself tonight.
Jhonas Enroth, Sabres vs. Senators - WHOA Nelly! Talk about last minute. Enroth will be starting instead of Ryan Miller.
Jonas Hiller, Ducks vs. Red Wings - Trying to find info on whether or not Hiller is starting and no luck so far. The general feel is that he will start but nothing has been confirmed by anyone at this point. Hiller owners need to check for his status before the puck drops at 7 pm EST/6 pm CST. He will be starting.
