Fantasy Football 2011: Week 9 DEF/ST Rankings

All 28 defenses are ranked in a table following the jump.

Defense to start: San Francisco 49ers - The 49ers defense has been playing great this season. I tried to get them this week before my trade deadline but it wasn't meant to be. Anyways, they play Washington this week, a team that was shut out last week. I think that San Fran comes close to doing that again and it would not surprise me to see a special teams touchdown by Ted Ginn.

Defenses to avoid: Indianapolis Colts - They will be taking on Atlanta, who is coming off their bye week. A fresh Michael Turner is a dangerous Michael Turner and with Atlanta having extra time to prepare, they will be ready to put up some points.

Tennessee Titans - The Cincinnati offense that Tennessee will face has become very dynamic. Andy Dalton has shown he can do more than just manage a game, AJ Green and Andre Caldwell are great young receiver and they can run the ball with Cedric Benson. Bench the Titan defense.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - They're playing at New Orleans. This game is very important for both teams. I imagine though that New Orleans has more to prove, after losing to St. Louis. I think New Orleans goes over 30 points in this re-match.
