Here are some excerpts from Keith Law's chat last Thursday over on ESPN:

Lots of differing opinions as to the ranking of the top 3 prospects in KC's system (Hosmer, Moose, Myers). Could you rank them for us?
Klaw
(1:22 PM)Probably Hosmer, Myers, Moustakas. Definitely Hosmer first.
Kevin Goldstein from Baseball Prospectus thinks Hosmer could see time in the majors in 2011.

Kipnis going crazy in the playoffs..... All-star bat, who knows defense a fair reflection on his potential going forward?
Klaw
(1:23 PM)Not an All-Star Bat, and everything I've heard on his defense has it below average but ultimately playable at second. ("Anyone can play second base.") So an above-average bat for 2b who's maybe 5 runs below average on defense? Good player.
I guess Jason Donald will become a utility player in Cleveland in the next couple years. Kipnis hit .307-.386-.492 with 16 HRs, 74 RBIs and 9 SBs.

Votto still your NL MVP?
Klaw
(1:26 PM)Last I checked, yes.
I have to agree. Votto has had a tremendous season, and I see him duplicating it in 2011.
More after the jump:

As I write this question on Tuesday afternoon, Logan Morrison is sporting a streak of 39 consecutive games reaching base (3 short of year's high). How impressive is this, especially for a 23 year old rookie with all of 49 games under his belt? He has shown limited HR power, but his 2b and 3b so far speaks of some to come, yes?
Klaw
(1:50 PM)I do think there's future power there, and the ability to get on base has even exceeded my high expectations. He's also just a year off a hand injury, and power can often take more than 12 months to return after something like a broken hamate bone or broken metacarpal.
Fantasy owners have to hope he doesn't turn into James Loney....well, James Loney who gets on base more often.

Keith- Will Josh Vitters ever make an impact in the majors?
Klaw
(1:51 PM)The complete lack of development in his plate discipline is a major concern. I'm inclined to say "no" on the impact question - right now he's headed for a Francoeur-like offensive line.
That is saying something because KLaw was very high on Vitters over the past few years.

Keith, your quick wit makes me laugh on Twitter and I believe you're a good scout. What is your take on Shelby Miller? Is he going to be a front-line guy, or is he just another over-hyped prospect from our system?
Klaw
(2:15 PM)Thanks, although I wouldn't call myself a good scout. I think Miller's an ace, a true #1 who'll end up with two knockout pitches.
I think we will be hearing alot more out of Miller in 2011.
