Fantasy Baseball: Roy Halladay Or Felix Hernandez?

New, comments

I got caught up watching Rounders last night on DVD.....great movie....so I didn't have time to schedule a post for today. So, here is a quick post on who you would rather have in 2011:Roy Halladay or Felix Hernandez.

Here are their 2010 stats via Fangraphs:

Name W L ERA IP H R ER HR BB SO WHIP
Felix Hernandez 12 12 2.31 241 189 79 62 17 68 227 1.06
Roy Halladay 20 10 2.53 241 229 74 68 24 30 213 1.07

Obviously, Halladay has more wins, but Felix has not received much run support from his teammates this season. This from Buster Olney's blog post this morning:

In Hernandez's 12 losses, the Mariners have scored 14 runs, which goes a long way toward explaining why King Felix has a 12-12 record.

And in 5 of his 12 losses, he gave up 2 runs or less. So you can see with better run support, his win total would look better.

Who would you rather have in 2011?
