The Reds drafted Miami catcher Yasmani Grandal in the first round of the June draft, and gave him a major league contract on Monday. But AAA catcher Devin Mesoraco may be the Reds starting catcher in 2011, as he has had a major breakout year in 2010. Mesoraco is hitting .315-.388-.622 with 25 HRs and 70 RBI between High A, AA, and AAA this season. Or, Mesoraco could be trade bait in the offseason.
