Fantasy Baseball: Couple Afternoon Updates

Well, Hanley Ramirez certainly is making life miserable in the Marlins clubhouse today. He is upset with his manager for taking him out of last night's game, and is benched for this afternoon's game vs the Diamondbacks. He refuses to apologize to his teammates for his lack of hustle last night. I am curious how many phone calls the Marlins GM fielded this morning. This could get ugly for the young Marlins.

Indian's outfielder Grady Sizemore will have an MRI on his knee tomorrow, and is out of the lineup today, after sitting out last night's game as well. This guy is the major league equivalent of Fernando Martinez. Neither can stay on the field. Is he related to Nick Johnson in some way?

As was expected, the Indians called up SS prospect Jason Donald to replace injured Asdrubal Escobar, who is on the DL with a broken forearm. Will Donald be the best prospect the Indians received from the Phillies in the Cliff Lee deal?

The Mets have decided to send pitching prospect Jenrry Mejia back to the minors to stretch him out so he can return as a starter later this year. This is the right move for the Mets and Mejia. But, getting him some experience in the bullpen was also a good move in my opinion.

Here's a name to watch come June: Brad Lincoln, and here is what BP''s Kevin Goldstein wrote about him today:

Brad Lincoln, RHP, Pirates (Triple-A Indianapolis): 7 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 10 K.  Three straight very good starts, and very good overall in six of eight outings while on the same schedule as Charlie Morton . . . I'm just sayin'.

The Brewers placed outfielder Jim Edmonds on the DL today with an oblique strain. Jody Gerut is starting in CF today, and could see more time with Carlos Gomez on the DL as well.

Reds outfielder is making the start in CF for the Reds today. Will he start to take at bats away from Drew Stubbs?
