The Rangers have had enough of Chris Davis' poor hitting and have called up first base prospect Justin Smoak. Davis was demoted to AAA after Thursday night's game where he went 0-3 with 2 strikeouts.
Smoak was hitting .326-.500-.526 prior to Thursday night's game in AAA with 2 HRs and 5 RBI. Prospect experts say he has 40 HR power at his peak, and will be hitting in a hitter's park.
