John Sickels posted his Top 20 Tampa Bay Rays prospects for 2011 yesterday over at Minor League Ball. Here is what he had to say about Matt Moore:
2) Matt Moore, LHP, Grade A: Best left-handed pitching prospect in baseball not named Aroldis.
Moore went 6-11 at High A in 2010 with a 3.36 ERA and 1.175 WHIP in his 26 starts. Moore is a strikeout machine striking out 206 batters in 144+ innings, while walking 61. In the last two seasons, he has struck out 384 batters in 267+ innings pitched and had a 3.41 K/BB rate in 2010.
