John Sickels posted his Top 20 Washington Nationals Prospects for 2011 over at his site, Minor League Ball, on Saturday evening.
Here is what he had to say about Sammy Solis, a 2010 draft pick:
4) Sammy Solis, LHP, Grade B: Probably won't need much minor league time.
Frankie Piliere, from MLB Fanhouse, had this to say about Solis after a recent AFL appearance:
But considering the quality of Solis' two best pitches, his ability to miss bats and his frame, this is a pitcher who could profile as a two or three in a big league rotation. And, if his changeup doesn't continue to develop, he still has the stuff to pitch near the back of the bullpen.
