John Sickels posted his Top 20 San Francisco Giants Prospects for 2011 over at his site-Minor League Ball. After a quick review of the Top 20, John seems disappointed in the progress of some of the Giants prospects.
Here is what he had to say about 2B prospect Charlie Culberson, who has received alot of positive reviews during the AFL season:
10) Charlie Culberson, 2B, Grade C+: Good rebound season, bat looks interesting although Double-A Richmond will test it. Glove gets mixed reviews.
Culberson hit .290-.340-.457 with 16 HRs, 71 RBIs, 25 SBs and a 99-33 K/BB rate a HIgh-A San Jose. He will start the 2011 season at AA Richmond and could get a call up some time in 2011 should he continue to hit well as Freddy Sanchez isn't getting any younger. The company I work for has season tickets to the Trenton Thunder, so I could get a chance to see Culberson play in 2011.
Head on over to Minor League Ball and check out what Sickels had to say about the rest of the Giants prospects.
