Down On The Farm: John Sickels Top 20 Atlanta Braves Prospects For 2011

I am attending a wedding on Saturday night, so I won't be able to get to the AFL roundup for Sunday morning. Instead, I bring you John Sickels Top 20 Braves prospects. He is working on his Prospects Book and the Braves are the first team he is writing about.

Head on over to Minor League Ball and check out John Sickel's Top 20 Atlanta Braves prospects for 2011. The Braves are loaded with pitching prospects and one has to wonder if they will deal one of them for an outfielder this offseason.

Here is an excerpt from his Top 20 list:

2) Freddie Freeman, 1B, Grade A-: Great Triple-A performance at age 20 is rare. You can make a case for a pure Grade A.

Some question Freeman's power ceiling in the majors, with ESPN's Keith Law in that camp. In his chat on Thursday, KLaw ranked Freeman behind the Royals Eric Hosmer, the Giants Brandon Belt, and the Red Sox Anthony Rizzo amongst first base prospects.
