With only a few games left with playoff significance, there's still a little bit of fantasy baseball left at this point.
Mitch Moreland hit 2 home runs, and stole home in the Rangers' loss to the Angels. He seems like he could be a deep league sleeper next year, as he seems to have a pretty decent lock on a starting job and could be good for 15-20 homeruns.
Pat Misch had a great start last night, striking out 10 and allowing just 1 earned run in 8 innings against the Nationals. Unfortunately the offense wasn't able to pick him up with a victory. There's really not a lot of hope in my mind about Misch getting a starting job next season, but he's someone to monitor in NL only leagues at least.
Bruce Chen won his 12th game of the season last night, throwing a 2 hit shutout and striking out 7. He's having a bit better of a season than I had thought he was, but he still remains a spot start at best for next year, and more likely an AL-only play.
Delmon Young has been one of the best surprises of the season, hitting his 21st homer and driving in his 100th run last night. He's also now hitting .300 on the season.
Jake Westbrook threw 7 more shutout innings against the Rockies last night, striking out 9 and allowing just 5 base runners. There's been talk that he might like to stay in St. Louis next season, and I'm thinking that if that happens he's going to be right on the cusp of the top 30 starters for next year.
