On the morning of the most anticipated pitching matchup in 40 years, or so that's what Christopher "Maddog" Russo would lead you to believe, I ask Fake Teamers this: who would you rather have for the next 3 years-Roy Halladay or Tim Lincecum?
Halladay should win his second Cy Young award this season, and Lincecum already has 2 CYs. This season Halladay went 21-10 with a 2.44 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and an amazing 7.30 K/BB rate. Lincecum struggled for a time in 2010, but finished with a 16-10 record, with a 3.43 ERA, a 1.27 WHIP and a 3.04 K/BB rate.
Halladay is the best pitcher in baseball and I have previously written here that I think Halladay is a first round pick in 2011, but he has thrown 250 innings this season, and isn't getting any younger. Lincecum comes with risk as well, as his delivery leads many to believe his arm/shoulder won't hold up over the long term.
Who would you rather have in a keeper league for the next 3 years?
