The Raiders drafted WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, a guy who was generally considered overrated considering his draft position of 7th overall. In order to compound the Overrated Wide Receiver aspect of their draft, the Raiders went on to draft a WR out of Florida, which almost never works out. Good job Raiders!
That Gator WR is Louis Murphy, who is very fast but not particularly big and doesn't have particularly great hands. He could turn out to be a decent WR3 for Oakland, but considering the slow growth of JaMarcus Russell there's no fantasy value in being the WR3 for the Raiders.
I don't know what else to tell you.
I WANT there to be some fantasy value in the Raiders' passing game, I really do. I just can't find it. The Raiders' WR depth chart is topped by two rookies and professional nutjob Javon Walker. TE Zach Miller could be a decent fantasy player, but there may not even be that.
Yikes.
