Former Patriots defender Rodney Harrison was doing a press conference for NBC -- who recently signed Harrison as an analyst -- when he was asked about Peyton Manning's comments about the Indianapolis assistant coaching staff. Manning was concerned that some of the long time coaches might be getting the axe. Harrison decided this would be a good time to take a shot at Manning.
"This is something I've discussed with Coach Dungy and I think it gives Tom Brady the edge over Peyton Manning in terms of leadership. If this went on in New England, it wouldn't come out publicly. He wouldn't make a big fuss over it. So many guys are looking up to [Peyton] that once they sense panic, they get nervous. You have to control your emotions and not allow these things to get outside the walls. I have a lot of respect for Peyton Manning, but this is a guy that needs to control his emotions."
Nice cheap shot on the way out the door Rodney. I'm sure your reputation will only grow this season.
By the way, I like Manning as a option this season. He may be the #1 QB in fantasy football once again.
