Monday's Roto Round Up: Lowe Wins 5th, Zimmerman Extends Streak To 29 Games

Monday's roto round up will be brief as there were only 4 games played in both leagues last night.

SP, Derek Lowe, ATL-the pitcher that all the Met fans wants GM Omar Minaya to sign instead of Oliver Perez is already haunting the Mets. Lowe won his 5th game of the season in the Braves 8-3 win over Johan Santana and the Mets.

SP, Johan Santana, NYM-the Mets just don't bring the bats to the game when Santana is on the mound this year. Santana held the Braves to 1 unearned run, on 7 hits and 6 strikeout, but his teammates could only must 3 runs all night, and by that time Santana was long gone. Santana lowered his ERA to 0.78 this season.

SS, Jhonny Peralta, CLE-Peralta broke out of his season long slump with 3 hits and 3 RBIs in the Indians 9-4 victory over the White Sox. Now if only Grady Sizemore can follow his lead?

3B, Ryan Zimmerman, WAS-Zimmerman extended his hit streak to 29 games in the 1st inning of their game in San Francisco.

OF, Willy Taveras, CIN-what has Dusty Baker done with Willy T? Taveras went 5 for 5 with 4 runs scored on Monday night. He is now hitting over .300, with an OBP close to .400 and a 12/11 K/BB rate in 109 ABs this season. One would think he would be leading the league in SBs with those stats, but that is not the case.
