Friday's Roto Roundup comes to you after yet another Dodger win and Diamondbacks loss....damn shame.
Here you go:
Manny Ramirez: Ramirez went 2-5 on Friday night vs the Rockies, but has yet to hit his first HR. Am I the only roto owner who is worried?
Vladimir Guerrero-Vladdie went on the DL with a torn pectoral muscle.
Manny Corpas: Corpas was named the Rockies closer Friday night. Street lasted less than two weeks in the role. The Holliday trade is looking worse and worse by the day. Dan O'Dowd's and Clint Hurdle's days have to be numbered.
Dan Haren: Roto owners have to be very disappointed in the Diamondbacks pitcher this year as he is 0-3, yet has a 1.89 ERA. And BP projected the Diamondbacks the win the West prior to Manny signing with LA.
Mark Teahan: Teahan is quicky trying to make Royal fans forget about Alex Gordon. Teahan went 5-6 on Friday with a HR vs. the Rangers.
Brad Penny: Many roto and baseball experts called the Red Sox signing of Brad Penny one of the better moves in the offseason. Not so fast my friend!!! Penny gave up 6 hits, 5 BBs, and 7 runs in 3 innings of work vs. the Orioles Friday night. He'll have to pitch plenty better than that to make the experts look good.
Ryan Ludwick: Ludwick hit 2 HRs and drove in 4 runs in the Cardinals loss to the Cubs on Friday afternoon. Mnay experts called for Ludwick to perform poorly in 2009, but I have yet to see that.
Diamondbacks Lineup: the D'backs managed just 3 hits in their 2-0 loss to the Giants on Friday night. How soon before Bob Melvin is in the announcers booth?
Paul Maholm: Maholm has pitched nothing short of brilliant so far in 2009. He shutout the Braves for 7 innings on Friday, giving up 4 hits, 3 BBs whiles striking out 2. His ERA now stands at 0.87.
