My impressions are generally positive. This looks like a much better balanced roster than the one drafted by Derek McCarty in the NL LABR:
- Matt Wieters for $13 will turn out to be a bargain if Wieters plays 2/3s of the season.
- Derek Jeter at $24?
- Chris Shelton, Jerry Owens and Chris Getz are excellent low salary/high reward players. As is Gary Sheffield at $4?!?!?!?
- He has the solid foundation of pitching to take gambles on undrafted SP and emergin closers. As a matter of fact, he has the freedom to go all Phil Coke on his pitching staff.
