Down on the Farm: John Sickel's Top 20 White Sox Prospects for 2010

John Sickels posted his Top 20 White Sox prospects over at Minor League Ball today, so be sure and head over to his site to see how he ranks the White Sox prospects.

Here is what he said about Brent Morel:

Brent Morel, 3B, Grade B-: I think he's underrated. Only questions about power at higher levels keep him from a Grade B. Now blocked behind Mark Teahen, a long-term signing I don't understand.

Here is what Kevin Goldstein from Baseball Prospectus said about him in his Top 11 analysis in November:

Morel's power ceiling is limited, as most project him to hit 15-20 home runs annually, so he'll need to continue to hit for average. He could increase his value with a more patient approach, but some scouts think his aggressiveness works for him in a way where deeper counts could be a negative for him.
