I was all set to go to bed (12:30 am) when I read this from AOL Fanhouse's Ed Price:
#BlueJays prefer minor-league prospects for Roy Halladay, rather than big-league players
Wow! That may bring several teams not considered favorites into the mix for Roy Halladay. Here's a breakdown of some of the top prospects on the teams who have been rumored to have interest in dealing for Halladay:
Rays-Desmond Jennings, Wade Davis and Jeremy Hellickson
Dodgers-Dee Gordon, Chris Withrow and Josh Lindblom
Phillies-Domonic Brown, Kyle Drabek and Michael Taylor
Yankees-Jesus Montero, Austin Romine and Dellin Betances
Red Sox-Clay Buchholz, Casey Kelly and Ryan Westmoreland
Angels-Mike Trout, Jordan Walden and Hank Conger
Now we are not sure how many prospects it will take to get Halladay, but this is a list that I am sure Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopolous has seen and discussed over the past 3 days.
We could see some movement with Halladay if all AA wants is a package of prospects. Stay tuned.
