Here's a quick post to see who you would draft first: the Brave's Yunel Escobar or the Astros Miguel Tejada?
Here are their stats for 2009 courtesy of www.fangraphs.com:
Name | AB | H | 2B | HR | R | RBI | BB | SO | AVG | OBP | SLG | OPS |
Miguel Tejada | 635 | 199 | 46 | 14 | 83 | 86 | 19 | 48 | 0.313 | 0.340 | 0.455 | 0.795 |
Yunel Escobar | 528 | 158 | 26 | 14 | 89 | 76 | 57 | 62 | 0.299 | 0.377 | 0.436 | 0.812 |
They are pretty close in every category including SBs which are not shown since they each had only 5 SBs in 2009. Escobar gets on base more and is obviously the younger of the two, but the experts have been projecting Tejada's fall off for several years, but he is still a productive hitter.
