Brandon Marshall Gets A Stern Lecture. Is A Suspension Possible?

The Broncos' WR1 Brandon Marshall, who severly injured his arm by smashing into an entertainment center after slipping on a McDonalds bag while wrestling family members (get all that?) met with Da Commish today.  Mr. Goodell was not amused.

Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in New York last week concerning his string of off the field legal troubles.

A person familiar with the meeting confirmed it on Thursday.

Marshall attended the meeting with attorney Harvey Steinberg and Broncos receiver Rod Smith.

The news of the meeting was first reported in Thursday's edition of The Denver Post.

Marshall has been arrested three times in the past year.

He's due in court in September for a trial on a drunken driving arrest on October 2007.

If Marshall is convicted on the drunk driving arrest, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see Marshall hit with a suspension.  This would obvously drive down the fantasy value of QB Jay Cutler, as the next best WRs on the Broncos are Darrell Jackson and Keary Colbert.  Yikes.  That wouldn't help any of the heads in the four-headed running back monster either.  If they lose Marshall, the Broncos have serious offensive issues.
