A few pre-draft happenings around the NFL that haven't been mentioned yet...
- The Redskins apparently offered their first round pick in 2008 and another pick in 2009 to the Bengals for Chad Johnson, but the Bengals said no. This would've been a blockbuster upgrade for the 'Skins and an overall improvement for the Bengals. It figures the Bengals would screw it up.
- Washington also apparently has tried to trade for Cardinals' WR Anquan Boldin, so far without success. The Redskins are still expected to target a WR in the draft, unless they can pry a leading WR away from somebody first.
- New Orleans admitted it was interested in moving up in the draft and had already spoken to the Rams about the 2nd overall pick. The Saints are supposedly focused on DTs Sedrick Ellis and Glenn Dorsey.
- The Titans traded troubled CB Pacman Jones for (reportedly) a 4th round pick this year and a conditional pick next year depending on how much he plays. The Titans get another pick (which they need) and the Cowboys improve their secondary even more (which the rest of the league doesn't need).
