Spring Training Boxscores: Fantasy Notes

With the news that Tigers' CF Curtis Granderson is out with a fracture in his hand, Jim Leyland started back-up catcher Brandon Inge in CF.  One wonders if this will negatively affect my hopes of Inge gaining catcher-eligibility.

The Braves sent OF Brandon Jones to AAA.  This makes me curious who will be the 4th and 5th OFers for the Braves.  With Mark Kotsay a major league player in name only (MaLBino?), whoever fills those roles should see more time than is customary.  Today's game saw Josh Anderson back-up Kotsay in CF, Gregory Blanco start in LF and back-up Francouer in RF while Joe Borchard backed-up LF.

BJ Upton returned to the Tampa Bay line-up following an injured triceps and went 1-3 with a double.  My fantasy MVP prediction stills lives - unlike my NCAA brackets!  More importantly though, Rays' closer Troy Percival allowed 7 ERs in an inning of work.  Al Reyes followed up with a strike-out-the-side inning, and rookie Eduardo Morlan closed out the eventual Ray win.

Chad Billingsley threw four innings against the Rockies.  He allowed five earned runs on 8 hits and 3 walks without striking out a batter.  Is there something wrong?
