- Brad Ausmus caught Roy Oswalt's six no-hit innings this afternoon. No surprise there, but Ausmus is now hitting .450 this Spring. J.R. Towles owners have been warned.
- Michael Bourn stole his 7th Spring Training base. He should be good for 40+ this season - if Darin Erstad doesn't steal too many ABs. Erstad is hitting .324 this Spring. Bourn owners have be warned.
- Alex Escobar started in LF for the Nationals. Wouldn't it be a great story if he and Lastings Milledge broke out this season while the Mets patched together their OF with Angel Pagan, Damion Easley and Endy Chavez?
- Denard Span went 2-5 and is hitting .259. Carlos Gomez went 3-4 with a HR and 2 SB to bring his total to 5.
- Joba Chamberlain got knocked around again in three innings of work. Just two Ks but three walks.
- Steve Pearce hit his 4th HR. The Pirates will block him with a .270/20/70 29-year-old. I just feel it in my bones!
- New York Yankees' rookie CF Brett Gardner stole his 6th base and is hitting .429 this Spring. Too bad Melky Cabrera is going to appeal his three-game suspension. Gardner would have been a great $1 sleeper in AL-only drafts if he had been on the Opening Day roster.
