Dallas - In a move that was cheered by fantasy football owners everywhere, RB Julius Jones left as a free agent and ended up in Seattle. That means one of the most annoying running back committees in fantasy is over and Marion Barber is now The Man in Dallas! Unless... unless what? What?! Unless the Cowboys draft a running back. &^%$!! Hey, don't put it past them.
NY Giants - Super Bowl winners usually lose free agents and the Giants were no different. LB Kawika Mitchell and S Gibril Wilson signed with new teams. RB Derrick Ward (602 rush yds, 3 TDs) left as a free agent and P Sean Landeta finally retired after 22 seasons. Former Texan and Panther QB David Carr signed a one year deal to backup Super Bowl MVP (if I type that enough times maybe it will sink in) Eli Manning.
Philadelphia - Backup RBs Thomas Tapeh and Reno Mahe left as free agents, but nobody cares about them. The big move was signing CB Asante Samuel away from the Patriots. They also signed DE Xzavie "That's Not a Typo" Jackson
Washington - The Redskins lost a whopping 17 free agents this year, including QB Mark Brunell, RB Rock Cartwright and WRs Keenan McCardell and Reche Caldwell. One of those seventeen, QB Todd Collins, resigned to a three year contract. His late season heroics (4 games, 888 pass yds, 5 pass TDs, 0 Int) secured his place as the Washington backup.
