Start/Sit: Frank Gore, Chris Johnson And Other Week 17 Decisions

This is the final week of the football season, and, for some, the final week of fantasy football for 2008.  Unfortunately, fantasy teams will need to deal with healthy sits as teams preserve their players for the play-offs or to avoid injury in games that mean nothing.

Tennessee Titans RBs Chris Johnson and LenDale White:  Finally, White is out.  Sadly, this doesn't mean Chris Johnson gets the full load fantasy players have pined for as the Titans are locked into the one seed.  The back to consider is the other Chris Henry.

Dallas Cowboys RB Marion Barber:  He is still battling the toe but has practiced some this week.  I'd expect 10 touches but wouldn't start him.  Tashard Choice is the Cowboys' back to have.

San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore:  He is a game time decision and listed as probable.  With 22 yards to go to have a third consecutive 1,000 yard rushing season, expect Gore to play.  After 22 yards?  Man, I'm glad I don't have to decide to start or sit him with the season on the line.

New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs:  Jacobs is "healthy", but the Giants have clinched the one seed.  Expect him to take the back seat to teammate Derek Ward who needs 52 rushing yards to get 1,000.

Buffalo Bills RB Marshawn Lynch:  He has been limited by a shoulder injury.  The question is whether eliminating the Patriots from the play-offs is enough motivation for head coach Dick Jauron to start his top back or if Fred Jackson gets an increased workload to keep Lynch from further injury.  Or maybe, Jauron will have more self interests like job preservation and run a regular game plan.

Check out Stephania Bell's Injury Blog for more injury information on Pierre Thomas, Bernard Berrian, Kevin Boss, Anquan Boldin, and thank you for coming the Fake Teams for fantasy football information.  Good luck.
