For the teams facing the worst pass defenses in the NFL, don't be surprised to see the dogs called off out of respect. Outside of the New Orleans Saints, no NFL coaches will feel the need to beat-up on struggling teams out of the very Christian ethic of "There but for the grace of God go I." This doesn't mean a shoot out between two equally bad teams could not occur.
I see the Tampa Bay Bucanneers remain the worst team in the NFL in RYA over the past three weeks. Do the Oakland Raiders take advantage of that or will their bags be packed before the opening kick-off? I cannot see the Bucs losing at home with the post-season on the line, but I didn't see the Houston Texans losing to the Raiders last week either.
In the week's most interesting game, the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets battle for 1st place in thr AFC East. If the worst to first story of the Dolphins doesn't interest you, how about the return of the prodigal son Chad Pennington? He returns to the Meadowlands with not only a three seed on the line against the team that discarded him for a shinier toy but with the AFC MVP within reach.
