The biggest news of the day are the imminent signings of free agent starting pitchers C.C. Sabathia and Derek Lowe by the New York Yankees. Both (either if reports turn out to be premature) pitchers strengthen the Yankees rotation to the point where only a Jake Peavy To Chicago will prevent the Bombers from having the best rotation in baseball. Led by Sabathia, the Yankees will then follow him with Chien-Ming Wang, Lowe, Joba Chamberlain and Phil Hughes.
