This Is The Week Kurt Warner Becomes The Man (Again)

If you're looking for a way to shake up your uninspiring 4-5 fantasy team, here's my unexpected idea of the week.

Trade for Kurt Warner.  Right now.  Because this is the week he becomes the best quarterback in fantasy football.

Yeah, yeah, I know.  There's Drew Brees! And Peyton Manning!  Don't you know Philip Rivers has 19 touchdown passes?!

Forget it.  Warner's the man.

You can make the argument he's the best QB in fantasy right now. 2,431 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions.  Plus, an incredible 69.9% pass completion rate.  All of those numbers are better than Drew Brees.  He leads the league in completion pct, first downs and comes in second in passing touchdowns, passing yardage, QB rating and completions.

Warner has three -- count 'em three! -- wide receivers in the Top 30 in passing yards.  Brees has an injured Reggie Bush and a Deuce McCallister with a possible steriod suspension over his head.

This isn't meant to be a criticism of Brees.  He's a great QB and if you have Drew Brees you're in great shape for the rest of the fantasy season.  But Warner has a very good chance of finishing up as The Man this FFL season.   If you can get him for an "established" quarterback like McNabb, Rivers or Cutler, you should seriously consider it.  This will probably be your last chance.
